🍌 What should I wear for a banana boat ride?
It’s best to wear a swimsuit or clothes that can get wet. Water shoes or secure sandals are recommended for your feet. Don’t forget sunscreen and sunglasses for protection against the sun.
🍌 Is there an age limit for participants?
Participants must be at least 6 years old. Children ages 6-12 must be accompanied by an adult.
🍌 How many people can ride the banana boat at once?
Our maximum capacity is 6 riders per trip. Group sizes are adjusted for safety and balance.
🍌 Do I need to know how to swim?
Knowing how to swim is not required but recommended. All riders are provided with life jackets for safety.
🍌 How long does the ride last?
The adventure lasts around 50 minutes, encompassing a 10-minute picturesque boat journey to the tubing zone, roughly 30 minutes of exhilarating playtime, and a 10-minute cruise back.
🍌 Is it safe? What safety measures are in place?
Safety is a top priority. All riders are provided with life jackets, and the boat driver is trained in safety and emergency procedures. Regular maintenance checks are performed on the equipment.
🍌 Can I bring my camera or phone?
It’s not recommended to bring electronics that are not waterproof. We recommend leaving your valuables ashore or with a non-rider.
🍌 What if the weather is bad on the day of my ride?
Rides are subject to weather conditions. In case of unfavorable weather, rides may be rescheduled or refunded.
🍌 How do I book a ride and what is the cancellation policy?
You can book a ride through our website by using the widget at the top of this page. Bookings are non-refundable, but we’re happy to reschedule with proper notice.

Join our enthusiastic, approachable, and safety-conscious team for an unforgettable water adventure, accommodating up to 6 guests at a time for some waterborne excitement. The adventure lasts around 50 minutes, encompassing a 10-minute picturesque boat journey to the tubing zone, roughly 30 minutes of exhilarating playtime, and a 10-minute cruise back.
We head out into the ocean, right off the beaches! If the water is too choppy that day, we navigate the Wildwood back bays instead, ensuring a comfortable, safe and fun riding experience!
Participants aged 6 and older are invited to join the fun. Riders ages 6-12 must be accompanied by an adult. Minors under 18 require a guardian aged 18 or older to sign a waiver at check-in.
Please note: This activity is hands-on and physically engaging, so be mindful of your physical capabilities (for example, long nail extensions may hinder your tubing experience).

Amy Schlereth2024-06-23Took a ride on the SJ Banana Boat today with three other patrons. The location is easy to find and we were greeted by a friendly and knowledgeable staff. I saw right away that the vessel was brand new and extremely clean. There is generous seating room and also a watertight box to store your valuable belongings. Captain Tim and his deckhand Owen made sure that the safety of all riders was a top priority while taking us for a super fun spin out in the Atlantic ocean. The weather, water temperature and most importantly the waves were absolutely perfect! All in all, it was a great experience. If you are looking for something new and exciting to try this summer, the SJ Banana Boat will not disappoint!

Captain Tim made sure we knew the ground rules (and how to request more speed), and the time flew by! The water was a little cold when we boarded the boat, but Tim said we'd head out to the bay where it was warmer. Sure enough, the water was perfect, and we jumped in afterward. 1000% recommend for kids and adults alike.
caroline d2024-06-11my boyfriend and i went for a ride during the off season. it was chilly out and the water was freezing but the father and son duo made it sooo fun! the ride was in a small quiet area of the bay so there weren’t crowds, and the small family owned business was super charming and welcoming. they made us feel like friends! such a lovely experience. would definitely go again!

My oldest son didn't want to leave, and booked our next trip while docking. Highly recommend SJ banana boats for something different, and the perfect day trip!
